Good Morning! We have completed the Book of Esther. Thomas and I, share a few of our thoughts with you in the book of Esther. In the book of Esther, her Hebrew name was Hadassah, she was a beautiful Jewish Girl whom King Ahasuerus of Persia chose to be his queen. We read the book of Esther and although the Name of God does not appear in the book. God cares for us and he assures us that he is at work in our lives today. Esther was a Hebrew orphan living in exile, she teaches women to overcome such plights. She always obeyed her Uncle Mordechai. Esther auditioned at the palace and gained the King’s favor, she gained prestige but was a powerless queen. Keeping her Hebrew heritage a secret, Esther promised Mordechai to petition the King, uttering the immortal words. “If I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16. Once Esther approached the King it could cost her, her life if he refused her. Esther was granted his presence at a luncheon. Esther announced to the King that she was a Hebrew and the lives of her people. God was moving powerfully thru Esther as she goes face to face with the biggest risk of her life. Because of Esther’s obedience and willingness to transcend the fear of failure, her Jewish people were saved from annihilation and frightening times in their lives. God will make a way for us. When women are faced with sexual discrimination it requires us to have great strength and the mind of Christ and the power of God to overcome every obstacle. The Name of God is Jehovah Nissi, the LORD My Victory. God within us is the Victory. Deuteronomy 31:6, Proverbs 4:12-13, Isaiah 40:31.
