Good Morning! We have completed the Book of 2nd Chronicles. Thomas and I share a few of our thoughts with you in the book of 2nd Chronicles. First and Second Chronicles recount the history of the people of Israel from the death of King Saul to after the time of exile in Babylon, which includes mentioning the decree of Cyrus allowing God’s people to return to the land and build a temple.

It tells us the History of David’s royal line. It teaches that the people’s relationship to God is crucial in their daily living. Solomon asked God to rule over the people in Israel and gave him a Son. Solomon sent to the king and said send cedars and craftsman for the temple. He built the portico, the main hall, the Most Holy Place, two cherubim, the veil and two pillars. Solomon made an altar, the Sea, ten lavers, ten lampstands, ten tables and the courts for the temple. The priests brought the Ark into the Most Holy Place. King Solomon is blessed by the Lord with great wisdom and wealth. He builds and dedicates the temple in Jerusalem. The Lord appears to Solomon and promises to bless the Israelites according to their obedience. After a 40-year reign, Solomon dies and his son Rehoboam reigns. Jerusalem is destroyed by the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and the Nation is divided into Northern and Southern kingdoms.
