Good Morning! We have completed the Book of 2 Thessalonians. We are starting in The New Testament Book of 1 Timothy of Our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Thomas and I share a few of our thoughts. In 2 Thessalonians, since Paul’s first letter, the seed of false doctrine has been sown among the Thessalonians causing them to waver in their faith. Paul removes these destructive seeds and again plants the seeds of truth. He began by commanding the believers on their Faithfulness in the midst of persecution and encouraging them that presently are suffering will be rapidly spread about with the future glory of OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Therefore in the midst of persecution, expectations can be high. Paul then deals with the central matter of his letter, a misunderstanding spawned by false teachers regarding the coming day of the Lord. Despite reports to the contrary that the Day has not yet come, Paul recounts the events that must first take place. Laboring for the gospel, rather than lazy resignation, is the proper response. As the second letter in Paul’s Thessalonians correspondence, this was entitled Pros Thessalonians B, the Second to the “Thessalonians”. Share with us on our Facebook Messenger page or text our phone.
