Good Morning! We have completed the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. Thomas and I share a few of our thoughts with you about the book of Daniel. In the book of Daniel, his life and ministry covered the entire seventy year period of Babylonian captivity. He was deported to Babylon at the age of sixteen and handpicked for government service. Daniel became God’s prophetic mouthpiece to the Gentile and Jewish world declaring God’s present and eternal purpose. Nine of the twelve chapters in his book revolve around dreams from God involving trees, animals, beasts, and images in symbolic foreshadowings. In both his personal adventures and prophetic visions, Daniel shows God’s guidance, intervention, and power in the affairs of men. The name Daniel means”God Is My Judge” and the book is, of course, named after the author and principal character named in the Greek form of Daniel. As you read this book, be encouraged that God still shows his faithfulness and his protection today as he keeps his promises never to desert you. He gives us the strength to stand firm in him as you serve and obey him day by day. Share your thoughts on Facebook, Messenger or text my phone.
